Your SCA
revision desk.
One workspace. Every tool you need to walk into the exam ready — cases, AI patients, filmed consultations, and AI marking, all open on the same desk.
"Doc, I've been doing well on the insulin, but lately I've been feeling really tired…"
Scarevision is the MRCGP SCA revision platform built by experienced GP trainers — a single workspace bringing together 360+ written cases, 350+ AI simulated patients, 70+ filmed consultations and AI marking, alongside the study tools you'd otherwise stitch together yourself.
Full case packs.
Not one-line scenarios.
Every case is a complete revision pack. You don't get a single line and a stopwatch — you get everything you need to run the consultation, mark it honestly, and learn what to do differently next time. New cases added regularly across acute, chronic, paediatrics, mental health, women's, sexual health, MSK, derm, ENT, eyes and ethics.
- Pre-case patient summary
- Role-play script with realistic patient responses
- Marking scheme mapped to the three SCA domains
- Key issues to explore in the consultation
- Patient explanation crib sheet
- NICE / CKS / BNF-aligned management notes
- First Degree AV block
- None
- NKDA
Practise out loud
whenever you want.
The single biggest barrier to SCA prep is finding someone to roleplay with. Study partners get tired, get sick, get on call. Our AI patients don't. You have a real voice conversation with a simulated patient — each one has a clinical history, a personality, and a list of concerns, and they only tell you what you actually ask.
- 350+ patient personas spanning the SCA syllabus
- Voice-to-voice consultation in real time
- Personalities you have to engage with — not just answer keys
- Transcript and audio replay after every session
- Available 24/7 at scarevision.ai
Watch what an exam-passing
consultation actually looks like.
Every video shows an experienced GP working through a real case, with marking commentary alongside. You see exactly what's earning marks, where the structure is doing the work, and where it could go wrong. Particularly powerful for trainees who learn by watching.
- 70+ full filmed consultations
- Marking commentary overlaid in real time
- Models pace, structure and patient language
- New videos added regularly
Roleplay. Record it.
Get marked the second you finish.
The hardest part of revising for the SCA isn't doing cases — it's knowing whether you're getting better. AI marking solves that. You record a roleplay, the AI assesses it against the SCA marking scheme, and returns a detailed report card. Argue with it. Compare across attempts. Spot the failing domain.
- Domain-specific scoring across all three SCA domains
- Specific feedback — what landed, what didn't, what to try next
- Score history so you can track your trajectory
Practise with friends.
No fiddling with PDFs.
Run a mock consultation with your study partner or revision group. Pick your role, generate a session code, then share it. Anyone can join in seconds — examiners and observers don't even need an account.
- Three roles: Candidate, Patient, Examiner
- QR code or shareable link — one tap to join
- Unlimited examiners can mark in real time
- Or switch to solo mode and play against an AI patient
Run a mock consultation with friends. Pick your role, generate a session code, then share it so your group can join and pick theirs.
Explain it like
you mean it.
One condition, forty-five seconds.
A core SCA skill: explaining a diagnosis in plain language a patient can take home. Pick a topic, draw a random condition, beat the clock. Forty-five seconds, full marks for clarity. Then check the model answer.
- 291 conditions across the SCA syllabus
- 45-second drill with countdown timer
- Browse and pick directly, or shuffle & draw
- Available on every membership tier
The bits that save your evening.
Smaller tools that take the friction out of revising — built into every case so you spend your time consulting, not preparing to consult. Plus a built-in 12-minute timer on every case, so the exam pace becomes muscle memory.
Hit generate. The platform pulls 12 cases balanced across topics and SCA domains, hides their content behind generic labels, and gives you a 4-character code to share with your study group. Run it solo or together — anyone with the code joins the same set.
Every case you complete lands here. See progress across all 22 clinical topics, which areas are strong, which need work, and how many days till your exam. The platform points you at the gap that matters most — so the time you do have goes where it counts.
22 competencies across the three SCA domains. Tag each one Done well, Partially, or Poorly as you (or your study partner) work through the case. Domain percentages and overall band update live — and at the end you've got an exam-style report you can argue with.
Four steps. On repeat.
Filter 360+ cases by topic, body system, presentation, or SCA domain. Or hit randomise and let the platform pick.
Roleplay with a partner using the case pack, run with an AI patient, or watch the filmed version.
Tick the scheme yourself, or send the recording to AI marking for a domain-by-domain report card.
See your trajectory across all three SCA domains. Drill the gaps the platform surfaces.
Built for the SCA, by people who know it inside out.
Every case, marking scheme and management note is written by GPs who train, supervise and examine registrars. Not generic question-bank writers. Not AI-generated.
Used by over 9,000 GP trainees preparing for the SCA. Word-of-mouth across UK training schemes is what got us here.
Checked against current UK guidelines — NICE, CKS, BNF, RCGP, RCOG, BASHH, FSRH where relevant. Updated as guidance changes.
Cases mirror the real SCA in structure, length, marking criteria, and patient communication style. Practice that translates.

What's the difference between Standard and Premium?
Standard (£11.99/month) gives you everything except the filmed consultations. Premium (£15.99/month) adds 70+ filmed real consultations with marking commentary. Both plans include all 360+ cases, all 350+ AI patients, AI marking, all guides, and all study tools.
How much do AI patients and AI marking cost?
Both are pay-as-you-go on top of your subscription, from £1.20 per attempt. New members get 1 free AI patient attempt and 3 free AI marking credits on signup.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Both plans are monthly and you can cancel from your account at any time.
How often do you add new content?
New cases and content are added regularly. Members get notified when new cases land.
Is the clinical content up to date?
Yes. All cases and management notes are checked against current UK guidelines (NICE, CKS, BNF, RCGP, RCOG, BASHH, FSRH) and updated as guidelines change.
Do I need a study partner?
No. AI patients let you practise out loud whenever you want, on your own. A study partner is great if you have one — and group practice tools make coordinating sessions easier — but you can do the entire programme solo.
When should I subscribe?
Most trainees subscribe in their CCT year, between 6 and 12 months before the exam. Earlier is fine if you have time. Last-minute is fine too — the mock exam generator and AI marking are particularly powerful in the final weeks.
Will my training programme cover the cost?
Some training programmes and deaneries cover study resources. Ask your TPD or training programme administrator. We can provide an invoice for your records.
What devices does it work on?
Any modern web browser on desktop, laptop, tablet or phone. AI patients work on phone and desktop. The platform is built to be used on the go — between clinics, on a break, or at home.
Do you offer refunds?
Plans are monthly and you can cancel any time from your account — you won't be charged again. For specific refund queries, email us.
