Practise as a pair, a trio, or a whole class
The host picks a case and a role, then shares a 5-character PIN. Anyone with the PIN can join — two of you on a video call, or thirty trainees in a tutorial. Same flow either way.
Always three roles, not always three people
Every session has the same three roles: Candidate, Patient, and Examiner. The host's role is locked to them — but the other two are open to anyone with the PIN, and any number of joiners can pick either one. So a class of thirty can all join as Examiners around the same case if you want them to.

Two steps to get a group going
Pick a case, pick your role, share the PIN. That's it — joiners come in whenever they're ready.

1
Open a case and pick your role
From any case page, hit Group practice. The panel has two modes:
Solo runs the case with an AI patient — useful when no one's free.
Group is the multi-person flow. Pick it, then choose the role you want for this session: Candidate, Patient, or Examiner. Click Create group session and the PIN is generated.
Heads-up on cost: hosting as Patient needs an active subscription, since you'd see the role-player brief. Hosting as Candidate or Examiner is free.

Share the PIN — with as many people as you want
You'll get a 5-character PIN like K7P2X and a matching QR code. Three ways to share:
Tell them the PIN — they go to scarevision.co.uk/groupjoin and type it in.
Share the link — the Share button uses your phone's native share sheet (WhatsApp, iMessage, etc.) and sends them straight to the join page with the PIN pre-filled.
QR code — best in the same room. They scan it and the PIN's already entered.
There's no cap on how many people use the PIN. Send it to one friend or twenty trainees — the same PIN works for all of them.

You don't need an account to join
The host did the setup. You just need the PIN — paste it in or scan the QR, then pick a role.

1
Type the PIN or scan the QR
Go to scarevision.co.uk/groupjoin and enter the 5-character PIN. It's not case-sensitive — we uppercase it for you.
If they shared a link via WhatsApp or iMessage, the PIN is already in the URL — tapping the link does this step automatically.
On phone? Hit Scan QR code instead and point your camera at the host's screen. The PIN's pre-filled on arrival.

Pick a role and you're in
You'll see the two roles the host didn't take. (If the host is the Candidate, you'll see Patient and Examiner. If they're the Examiner, you'll see Candidate and Patient.) Tap whichever you want.
You're not racing anyone for a seat. Multiple joiners can pick the same role. If you're in a tutorial of fifteen, twelve of you can all join as Examiners — the case opens for everyone independently as soon as they pick.
One thing to flag: choosing Patient shows you the role-player brief, which is paid content. If you don't have a subscription, you'll be prompted to sign in.

A few things people ask
How big can a group get?
There's no cap. The host takes one role, and anyone with the PIN can join as either of the other two — including multiple people in the same role. Two friends, a tutorial of ten, a whole cohort of thirty: same flow, same PIN.
Common shapes: 2 people (Candidate + Patient, no marker), 3 people (one of each — closest to the real exam), tutorial (Candidate + Patient + several Examiners marking in parallel), classroom (one Candidate, one Patient, the rest of the cohort all as Examiners).
Will I see who else has joined?
No — the session doesn't track joiners, by design. That's what lets the same PIN work for two people or thirty, with no upper limit and no fiddly invite list.
If you need to know who's in (e.g. for a teaching session), keep a video call or chat open alongside. The platform only needs the PIN.
Do all of us need accounts?
Only the host needs to be logged in — they're the one opening the case from the library. Joiners just need the PIN; they go to scarevision.co.uk/groupjoin and pick their role.
One exception: the Patient role shows the full role-player brief, which is paid content. Anyone joining as Patient (whether host or joiner) needs an active subscription.
How long does a session stay valid?
Each PIN stays valid for around 30 minutes after the host creates it — long enough for a case and a debrief. After that the join page tells anyone trying to use the PIN that the session has finished. For the next case, the host creates a new session and shares the new PIN.
Can I do a solo run instead?
Yes. The same panel where you choose Group has a Solo tab — that runs the case with an AI patient and AI examiner. Useful when nobody else is free, or for a quick warm-up before a group session.
What if someone disconnects mid-case?
They can re-join with the same PIN as long as the 30-minute window hasn't expired. Nothing's tied to their device — they go back to the join page, enter the PIN again, and pick the role they had.
Ready to revise together?
Pick a case from the library and start a session. Whether it's a pair or a class, your group's three taps away.
